Galatasaray Secured Their Position for the Next Level in UEFA Cup

BERLIN (Cihan) – Czech international Milan Baros helped his team, Galatasaray, to defeat Germany’s Hertha Berlin 0-1 on Wednesday at the UEFA Cup Group B match.

Turkish team secured their position in knock-outs after the victory in Berlin. German team is on the fourth position and they have to win the next match against Olympiacos of Greece on the last game of the group for knock-out stages.

“We will be on the first or second position after all of the matches played. That means we will play against an easier team in knock-out stage” Galatasaray’s Coach Michael Skibbe said in a press conference after the match.

Lucien Favre, Hertha Berlin’s coach, complained about referee in the press conference. “The penalty kick they (Galatasaray) awarded was very easy. We also should been awarded in the same way.” He said.
